SECOND ST PAUL 2ND WARD CONVENTION SET FOR JUNE 25



St. Paul 2nd Ward DFL will be holding second ward convention on Saturday, June 25th to revisit City Council endorsement. All ward boundaries in St. Paul have been redrawn so that’s why several of wards are having second endorsing conventions. If you are delegate or alternate delegate, you may be or already have gotten blue postcard in mail but it is also your credential. It also is picnic as well.It will be held on Saturday, June 25th 2011 11:00am until about 1:00PM at Parque Castillo (Castillo Park in Spanish) on the West Side unless if it is inclement weather, it will be held at Neighborhood House at Wellstone Center. ST PAUL THIRD WARD DFL CONVENTION TONIGHT 6/14/2011

Are you a political junkie and bored at home on Tuesday night or paying close attention to city council race? There will be St. Paul third ward convention tonight at Highland Park Junior High school. Saint Paul City DFL - Ward 3 Endorsing Convention


The reconvened Ward 3 Convention will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Highland Jr. High School (in the auditorium), located at Snelling and Montreal, St. Paul, MN. Credentialing begins at 6:00 p.m., the Convention starts at 7:00 p.m. The proposed rules are now available at http://www.stpauldfl.org/docs/Ward3-2011-ReconRulesAgenda.pdf.

2011 SAINT PAUL DFL WARD 3 CONVENTION - AGENDA

1. Call to order by Ward Chair.

2. Flag ceremony.

3. Welcome(s).

4. Reading of Affirmative Action Statement.

5. First Credentials Report.

6. Election of Convention Chair(s).

7. Rules Committee Report, Adoption of Rules and Agenda.

8. Nominations of Ward 3 City Council Candidates.

9. Ward 3 City Council Question and Answer Period.

10. Second Credentials Report. Resolution of any credentials challenges.

11. Endorsement of Ward 3 City Council.

12. Election of Ward Party Officers (may be conducted during Ward 3 vote counting without suspension of the rules):

a. Two Co-chairs (must be gender balanced).

b. Secretary/Treasurer.

c. Affirmative Action Officer.

13. Officer reports, if any.

14. Other Business.

15. Adjournment.

St. Paul DFL ward and city convention schedule

I had to dig out St. Paul's DFL Ward and City convention schedule so here it is...


Precinct Caucuses and Ward Conventions - Tuesday, February 3, 2009
The Saint Paul City DFL Precinct Caucuses and Ward Conventions are happening on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Precinct caucuses begin at 7:00 p.m. (check-in begins at 6:30 p.m.). The Ward Conventions begin immediately after caucus business is completed. Each Ward is caucusing
in its own single location:

Ward 1 - Rondo Education Center - 560 Concordia Ave., 55103

Ward 2 - Humbolt High School - 30 Baker Street, 55107

Ward 3 - Highland Park Jr. High School - 975 S. Snelling Ave., 55116

Ward 4 - Hancock Elementary School - 1599 Englewood Ave., 55104

Ward 5 - Como High School - 740 Rose Ave W., 55117

Ward 6 - TBA

Ward 7 - TBA.

The substantive business to be conducted is to elect Ward Officers, select Delegates and Alternates to the City Convention, and consider resolutions. The Executive Committee has noted that the time for considering resolutions is limited and directed that any resolutions that could not be voted upon in the Ward Convention be submitted for consideration at the City Convention.Persons chosen as Delegates and Alternates to the City Convention should select persons to serve on the Preconvention Committees. These Committees include Rules, Credentials, Arrangements, and Constitution. Even if you are not chosen to serve, volunteers are welcome to help. The organizational meeting will be held at the Hamline-Midway Library, 1558 W. Minnehaha Ave.(one block east of Snelling) on Saturday, February 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The City Convention will be Saturday, March 21 at Arlington High School - 1495 Rice Street 55117. On the agenda for the City Convention will be consideration of endorsements for Mayor and School Board races.

Precinct Caucuses are just around the corner! The Saint Paul DFL will be holding an organizational meeting for the City Caucuses on December 15, 2008. Check back for the time and location.
